Comments about Michelin Pilot Sport Cup:

I drive a 2010 Corvette ZR1 that is primarily become a trackday car.
I recently had to replace the original Pilot Sport PS2's after just 5000 miles secondary to flat-spotting the fronts, when the new tune-up / supercharger overdrive, changed the ABS threshold, when I locked them up briefly while threshold braking. The PS2's were fantastic tires, great grip and wear; very excellant feedback on the track. PS2's give a nice controlled drift when you push to the limit on a Corvette.
I was looking to upgrade to an even better tire (if that exists?), so I looked at the new AS/3 specs which look fantastic but they don't make them in the ZR1 sizes yet. The only other tire made that works for my car is the CUP tires. I was concerned that the wear rating is not good on that tire, and it looks like it only has half the tread of most tires, to start with.
Yesterday I did a trackday at Daytona which the 32' banking stresses tires to the max (as does 730hp / 720ft.lbs tq) and the tires worked FANTASTICALLY !!! The day was warm and the grip was terrific when the track was hot and in full sun. It was the same when it became overcast and on the first lap with cold tires. The tires are unbelievable!!! Places I can get the car to understeer slightly, it didn't understeer, it didn't drift, just hooked and turned in, like it was on rails! I had to change my lines because I found I could turn in harder, and get out quicker, at 10 mph faster, everywear on the track. I have a lightly modified ZR1 and I can say that these tires can more than handle the power and abuse this car can dish out. Even when I got out of shape while braking off camber, or turning in too hot, the tires just gripped and got it done! I am super impressed that they can out perform my abilities and my high performance car. I highly recommend these tires and will be using them or the next generation of them, in the future.

I own a Porsche Cayman S with Michelins on all four corners and I would not have anything else. Being a midengine car, it is well balanced and handles like a dream with the tires. We talk about the Code of the Curve and these tires maximize the enjoyment and safety while I am on the road...

A car can be a simple transportation appliance or a kinesthetic machine where the ability to turn, accelerate and break at maximum ability are the primary goal, the tire is the single element that communicates the engineering efforts into reality, my car cares nothing about transportation it barely holds two people, so the tire needs only to hold the road with uncomprimized ability the Michein pilot sport cup archives this goal extremely well, and giving feedback from the road so the limits are easy to realize, this tire is a wonderful combination of feel and supreme road holding making the best single most important contribution to a machIne that has sacrificed almost every aspect of an average car for light weight, handling and dynamic performance the Michlen sport cup is A fantastic tire when performance is the only goal of my motoring life.
