Tire Highlights

Variable thickness sipes provide additional biting edges in low–grip conditions to improve wet and snow traction, but lock together in dry conditions to provide crisp handling and longer treadwear.

Unique biting edges in the grooves grip snow for better acceleration and braking in snowy conditions.

Helio compound with sunflower oil helps to increase traction at low temperatures, while extreme silica technology provides exceptional wet grip.

Asymetric tread pattern and Variable Contact Patch 2.0 design result in strong dry performance combined with long tread life.

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S 3:

Had the tires since July 2010 on my 2006 Mustang GT. Since I am retired, I have put less than 5000 miles on the tires. At my last (September 2014) inspection, we noticed that all four tires had developed hairline cracks, even though the tires showed little wear. I am very disappointed and seriously thinking about replacing them with another brand.

Pilot Sport A/S 3 tread wear

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S 3:

I am a traveling sales rep with most miles being freeway highway miles. I was very disappointed in this tire. I have less than 22 miles on my tires, and my treads are worn and it has been suggested by my car servicing station that I frequent often as well as tire retail shop where I purchased, that my tires are worn, and need to be replaced. I am extremely disappointed and have expectations that Michelin should review and assist with replacement, warranty was 45,000 miles and I would think when frequenting mainly freeways I may even receive more. I ask that Michelin work with me and contact me on this issue.

                  Horrible Replacement for my Exaltos

Comments about Pilot Sport A/S 3:

These tires are a terrible replacement for my Pilot Exalto A/S.

The Pilot Sport A/S 3 is a smooth rolling tire, but that is the only good thing I can tell, so far.

Negative: it is very loud on all surfaces. Produces lots of road noise, from loud sounds to higher pitch whiney sounds, depending on what kind of pavement.

The worst part is thhe handling! The handling is mushy and unresponsive, which makes me feel very unsafe.

I drive a Saab 92x, which is a sports car with AWD.

I feel very upset, as there seems to be no other alternative within the Michelin brand for a high or ultra-high performance all-season tire.
