Unusual Tread Wear - All tires

Installed on my daily driver, 60 miles a day.
Long time Michelin customer 25yrs only puchased Michelin tires. Purchased a set of 18" for my 96 Riviera. Within 10K miles all edges of all the tires, inner and outer, started wearing prematurely. They tried to say mechanical problem but took car to multiple mechanics all said car was fine. Tire shop prorated the tires and gave me another set. Same thing happened. Now having to pay for another set of tires within 25K miles. Look at the diagram on this page. The outer "red" portion of the tire wears on all four tires, now on two different sets of tires. Found other folks on the web having the same issue. Consider other options before buying.

Another G8 GT owner here with the same experience... tried the Continental DWS, hard to get balanced and the sidewalls were too soft in the corners. Tended to spin when launching hard, also. Took them back and switched to the Pilot Sport A/S Plus and have been happy ever since. These tires can do it all, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend these to any sport sedan owner. Bear in mind that my G8 isn't stock (over 400 hp and torque to the wheels) and will easily abuse a poor tire - not an issue with the Pilot Sports.

Driven on a MB S63. No problem with the tires, can only compare them with the Continental SportContact2s they replaced. Both tires generated about the same noise and ride, the Michelins are better in the rain-Continentals hydroplaned, they've both worn out at just under 15k miles.
That's the extent of my experience-Michelins better than the Continentals in wet and cheaper, both have similar mileage but the Michelin warranty is better.
Don't know if the mileage deficiency is due to the weight of the car-can find only one review for a car or SUV this heavy with high performance tires, or just optimistic marketing.

The local MB dealer is now only offering Continentals or the Michelin Super Sports, not these Pilots, don't know if that's due to their experience(the dealer service advisor didn't know)or they've gotten a better deal on the Sports. The Michelin rep recommended the Pilots again as all year tires. I've given up on mileage, would like to know which tire is quieter.
As far as the ratings Michelin wants-I don't have enough knowledge to contribute, not having anything to compare them with-if I had five or seven sets a meaningful assessment could be made.

WARNING: Serious or fatal injury may result from tire failure due to underinflation or overloading. To ensure correct air pressure and vehicle load, refer to vehicle owner's manual or tire information placard on the vehicle. Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to improper mounting. Only tire professionals should mount tires and they should never inflate beyond 40 psi to seat the beads. Before mixing types of tires in any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle owner's manual for its recommendations.

DANGER: Never mount a 16" diameter tire on a 16.5" rim.

DANGER: Never mount a 17" diameter tire on a 17.5" rim.

Inflation pressure increase must not exceed the maximum pressure branded on the tire sidewall. When a customer requests a replacement tire with a lower speed rating than the original equipment tire, you must clearly communicate to him or her that the handling of the vehicle may be different, and that its maximum speed capability is limited to that of the lowest speed-rated tire on the vehicle. Exceeding the lawful speed limit is neither recommended nor endorsed.

For high-speed driving, additional inflation pressure and possibly reduced tire loading and/or upsizing is required. In the absence of specific recommendations by the vehicle manufacturer, use the following guidelines based on those in the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization Standards Manual.

For speeds over 160km/h (100 mph), load and inflation must be adjusted according to the table below.
