* Mileage Warranty Exceptions

Split fitments - If your vehicle has tires of different sizes on the front versus the rear axles, your tires cannot be rotated as recommended. Therefore, the mileage warranty on each rear tire will cover half the number of miles as the standard mileage warranty for that particular tire line.
ZP (Zero Pressure) tires - The maximum mileage warranty for ZP tires is 30,000 miles.

Not an 80,000 mile tire

I purchased my tires 2 years ago, I recently hit a landscaping brick that was laying in the road and split the sidewall. When purchasing a replacement tire I discovered these tires has 5/32 tread left and I have only put 20,000 miles on these tires since purchase. There is no way they would have hit the 80,000 mile mark as advertised. I take care of my vehicles and I keep my tires properly inflated, rotated and balanced.

I have used the X Radials on my fleet of Astro minivans for over 20 years. I get about 6 years faithful service from this tire, over and over again. Good ride and very resistant to road debris. Responsive traction - 2 WD or 4 WD. I rotate them every 8K miles or so, inflate to 32 - 35 lbs. & keep wheel alignment and suspension to spec. .... great value in Michelin. I could not have better 'peace of mind' if I paid twice the price for another line of tires.

These tires where OK for the summer time poor in the winter time but they only lasted 56,000 miles on my civic. This is the second set of tires I've had on this car & the only set of tires I've every owned that didn't last to the warrantied mileage. Michelin refuses to warranty them because I rotate my own tires every 5,000 miles. It's obvious from the wear pattern that they were taken care of. This will be the first and last set of Michelins I buy.

WARNING: Serious or fatal injury may result from tire failure due to underinflation or overloading. To ensure correct air pressure and vehicle load, refer to vehicle owner's manual or tire information placard on the vehicle. Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to improper mounting. Only tire professionals should mount tires and they should never inflate beyond 40 psi to seat the beads. Before mixing types of tires in any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle owner's manual for its recommendations.

DANGER: Never mount a 16" diameter tire on a 16.5" rim.

Inflation pressure increase must not exceed the maximum pressure branded on the tire sidewall. When a customer requests a replacement tire with a lower speed rating than the original equipment tire, you must clearly communicate to him or her that the handling of the vehicle may be different, and that its maximum speed capability is limited to that of the lowest speed-rated tire on the vehicle. Exceeding the lawful speed limit is neither recommended nor endorsed.

For high-speed driving, additional inflation pressure and possibly reduced tire loading and/or upsizing is required. In the absence of specific recommendations by the vehicle manufacturer, use the following guidelines based on those in the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization Standards Manual.

For speeds over 160km/h (100 mph), load and inflation must be adjusted according to the table below.
