i drive every day about 10 miles back and forth to work i will haul a full pallets of sod,full bed of mulch,full full 1/2 cord of fire wood or any thing that fits in my truck. i drive a 05 silverado work truck with the 262/4.3 vortec and a nv3500 5 speed manual and the LTX A/T2 LT 265/70/17E 10 ply.i have hit cender blocks going 40mph and not even any damage just made the whole right side of the truck just lift up and the next day went to tire shop i bought them from not even a mark or damage even misalinement .But they are a little kidney killing at 60psi and you can feel every bit of the road even at 10 mph or they follow the road when you get in a groove but the worst part is that i have to buy another on one to replace my ltx a/s lt 265/70/17e 10 ply that i bought at a junk yard for [$] when i got the truck and the tire is older then the truck 3304 and the truck is a 05 butt this tire will become my spare the LTX A/S to be rplaced by a another LT265/70/17e 10ply LTX A/T2 witch for the money expensive but well worth the money to spend. So,in short the LTX A/T2 is a harsh but relible,tough,safe,trust worthy, and all around the best tire out there for a full size puck up in my eyes. so to the peaple who are thinking of buying this tire just rember you will have to take the good for the bad of each tire and no one tire is perfect. just rember to buy metal valve stems with these tires becouse they they don't flex and they break easy,and they hold preesure best fron 0-80 psi and above . so the awnser to the i do sugest these tires to a friend and i stand by my michelins . i drove a caddy a 98 deville with the rain force tires and they lasted 6 years before my parents replaced them with prime well ps830(junk all the way) the michelins died of dry rot,sliped belts , and old age and at the wear mark. so michelins may cost alot but a safe tire is mony well worth spent.

I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500, diesel 4x4 with240,000 miles on it. I bought it new with Michelin tires good for 70K. They lasted as advertised so I bought another set. At143KI bought another set.
At 212,000 I bought another brand with 65k warranty, I just replaced those inferior tires with Michelin X-LT2's, and will continue to purchase Michelin tires. They hold up, perform well in all conditions and way cheaper in the long run, shopped and priced and found them $300.00 cheaper than the one set of inferior tires. No more changing brands for me the inferior tires did not last 30,000 miles.

I wouldn't put my wife and kids on the Northern Michigan roads with anything less. In addition to being driven in all weather conditions and off road on the fun days, these tires are expected to pull a 22' fiberglass deep V cruiser fishing boat or 24' camper trailer, many times over 1000 miles for a trip. They do all of these without any problem. They have unbeatable traction on all road conditions and wear better than the cheapter tires I run on my work truck. If you trust this recommendation, you won't be disappointed.
